Everyman Muswell Hill

Architect: NBDA Architects
Client: Everyman Cinemas

This grade II* listed building was opened in 1936. The project was to create two additional screens in the form of pods on the existing circle level.

Due to the listed nature of the building the pods had to be formed as free standing portal frame units. There could be no connection to the existing stone walls or roof structure. The pod frames were built off a ring beam which was supported off stub columns through the original concrete stepping’s back to the original circle level steelwork structure.
