Watersedge
Located on Humber Estuary on land, the centre acts as an education resource to demonstrate environmental sustainability in practice achieving BREEAM Excellent, whilst also creating a link between the local historical site and natural wildlife habitats.
The Visitors Centre of Waters Edge Country Park won the IStructE Davis Alsop Sustainability Award - 2009. It was designed as an exemplar project that embodied sustainability and environmental issues as a principle driver of design.
