Furness Partnership, established in 1986, is a structural engineering practice, a leading expert in the design of sports and leisure complexes, with a proven track record in all building types and materials including cinemas, theaters, retail and the restoration of historic buildings.
Operating from two design offices in Central London and Bradford we have developed many bespoke and innovative solutions to a wide range of projects. These include the award winning Cheltenham Racecourse redevelopment, the Olympic 2012 Media centre, the Luton Aquatic Centre and the first ‘cycle-in’ office in London, the Alpabeta building in Finsbury Square.
Working with both private enterprises and public bodies such as Local Authorities, Universities and Schools we like to keep good working relationships with our clients by being friendly, helpful and approachable. As a consequence, most of our workload is through repeat business and recommendation.
Our proactive approach to structural engineering guarantees that the best value is being ‘designed in’ for the better quality buildings.
All our projects are resourced with senior staff, who can offer their experience and ensure that all the specific project requirements are understood and, the implications communicated.
Using 3D models and the latest BIM software, fully integrated with our analysis, design and detailing packages, we are able to produce efficient and accurate design information for even the most complicated projects.
