Work has Commenced at Wyke Sports Centre
Work on the new £5.8 MILLION “sports village” in Wyke has begun.
The facility, built on the site of the former Wyke Manor school site, will include a new all-weather football pitch, three improved grass pitches, a community and changing pavilion with a close loop cycle track and cyclo cross facilities.
Wyke Community Sports Village is the first of the District’s three multi-sports hubs to be delivered as part of the Council’s Sports Pitches Investment Programme in partnership with Sport England, British Cycling and the Football Foundation.
Furness Partnership is delighted to be working with Bradford Council, William Birch (Main Contractors) and DB3 Architects on this exciting project which will provide a valuable sports facility for the community.
