Hat Factory

This project involved the redevelopment and refurbishment of two Victorian factory buildings of historical significance – the Henry Heath Hat Factory and the adjoining Beaver Building.  

Located between Oxford St and Hollen Street the two buildings were fused together by infilling the courtyard and providing a link bridge between the two original structures.The works included:

• Rooftop extension;

• Provision of new lifts;

• Construction of new lift cores;

• Repair of the original historic fabric.

The project was completed within the restrictions of a tight city centre site directly adjacent to the new Crossrail station at Tottenham Court road and with the retail tenants on Oxford St remaining in occupation throughout the build.
