Leveraging our proven track record in delivering complex cinema developments, we were selected to help bring the new Vue Cinema at Colchester Northern Gateway to life. This ambitious project involved the completion of nine state-of-the-art cinema screens, creating a premium entertainment destination for the local community.

A key feature of the development was the comprehensive overstepping works carried out across all auditoria to accommodate Vue's luxurious Lux and Ultra Lux seating, enhancing comfort and elevating the visitor experience. One auditorium was transformed into Vue’s flagship EPIC format, featuring cutting-edge HDR by Barco projection, immersive Dolby Atmos sound, and an impressive large-format screen for a truly cinematic experience.

Our scope also included the design and installation of specialist barriers, walls, and internal partitioning throughout the auditoria, entrance areas, circulation spaces, and ancillary facilities. To complete the transformation, extensive M&E installations were delivered both internally and externally, alongside new ceiling systems and bespoke support structures, ensuring the venue met the highest standards of performance, functionality, and aesthetics.

The result is a modern, premium cinema destination that combines innovative technology, exceptional comfort, and a world-class viewing experience.
