The successfully completed Zetter Townhouse Marylebone in partnership with Harper Downie Architects and the Portman Estate, comprised of the reconstruction of two Grade II listed Georgian townhouses to form a new 24 bedroom hotel and cocktail lounge.
The existing building was in very poor condition requiring extensive temporary works to ensure its safety and stability. The building then had to be taken down with a concrete frame constructed behind a newly formed facsimile of the traditionally built façade. The project featured challenging temporary works, which were required to protect the adjacent listed buildings and facilitate the new frame construction with single basement.
